Hallstrand Angus is a family owned operation which is based off the original homestead established in 1884.  John Gustaf Hallstrand was an early Pioneer who settled near the Jump River.

Cattle have been  grazing on the farm for nearly 130 years.  In 1998 Kurt & Christina bought the first 6 registered Black Angus cows from the Double R Ranch out of southern Wisconsin.

Today, around 200 Registered & Commercial Black Angus occupy the Ranch.  We currently own & rent around 1600 acres.  Hay, oats, barley,  & corn are  also grown on the land.

The Ranch operation is Run by Kurt, Christina, Todd, and Jed Hallstrand.  Other family members are also involved in the process.

Hallstrand Angus is committed to and proven to have quality Black Angus seed stock cattle.  A moderately framed Angus cattle with good structure, efficiency, longevity , and docility.   Our seed stock includes Bulls and bred heifers.
